  Faringdon Academy Swimming Gala

  On Wednesday 11 children from across Years 4, 5 & 6 represented us at the Faringdon Academy swimming gala. The children were outstanding representatives of the school, with an exceptional team performance from the boys, winning 1st place overall. An extra special congratulations to Owen Jackson who won the 25m Butterfly (Mrs Roberts least favourite event) by a phenomenal distance. We would like to congratulate the following children on their brilliant performances: Owen Jackson, Matthew Banbrook, Sam Daisley, Toby Banbrook, Riley Bevan, Zara Foster, Trinity Worth, Hettie Cosens, Hannah Douglas, Annabel Ball and Maja Damkjaer. 

   

  

• Basketball Festival - December 2015

  On Wednesday the 2nd December 2015, a group of 20 children from across lower key stage 2 took part in a Basketball festival put on by the Faringdon Academy of Schools. The event ran from 1:15 to 2:45, starting with a rotation of skills stations followed by a fixture of games against other schools. 5 schools from across the Academy took part with six teams of 10. The children showed great enthusiasm throughout the event and took part in all the activities. Finishing the games with a score of 18 points for team A and 20 points for team B. The cheers from the children and the proud parents filled the hall! The highlight of the day was the smiles and the effort made by everyone who took part.
