    Welcome to

    Watchfield Primary School

Welcome to Watchfield!  We are a busy, but very friendly school with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taste of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.  However, the only way you can really get a sense of what it is like to be 'a Watchfielder', is to come and visit.

An education here is a truly unique experience. Watchfield is a diverse school; many of our children come from countries all over the world, yet we still maintain the supportive family ethos of a village school, with strong links to the local community.

    Our Pre-School

We call ourselves the “Ducklings” who are led by our “Mother ducks”

Watchfield Primary School Pre-school has been rated Good by Ofsted and is proud to be part of the Cambrian Learning Trust family of Schools. We are a team of experienced, dedicated and passionate Early Years Educators. Our aim is for our children to have a happy and fulfilled time in our Pre-school, following the Prime Areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage so that their transition into Reception School Year is seamless. We will support your child to develop the skills required to enable them to build a solid foundation at this crucial first steppingstone in their educational journey.

    Testimonials Feed

    • 'Pupils settle so quickly. This is down to leaders’ successes in integrating all pupils well into the Watchfield family. Pupils say they love making friends from all over the world and that these new friends teach them greetings in different languages. There is much happiness at Watchfield'.
      Ofsted
    • 'Each September, staff ensure there is time to help pupils learn to socialise and interact positively with each other. They teach pupils the common routines to help everyone know how to behave. Pupils learn about bullying and how to ask an adult for help. All of this contributes to pupils feeling safe and protected'.
