STEM Challenges



In our groups we completed two STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) challenges.  The first one was 'The Egg Drop Challenge'.  We had to think about the best structures to protect an egg when it is dropped, a bit like the importance of protecting a racing driver.  The second challenge we had to do, was to make a wind turbine which could wind up a weight.  We were thinking about air resistance and whether larger or smaller propellers would have a difference.  The majority of them moved a little bit, but some of the eggs did break!  Have a look at some of the pictures below to see what we did.
