Arts Week started with an assembly for everyone in the hall. The theme this year is The Beatles. If you don't know who The Beatles are, we suggest you Google them!

We were told we would be learning a type of dance called Jive. "It was very fast, but tremendous fun!" said everyone who had a go today.

Some of the classes were lucky enough to work with Mr Quinn. They created music using Garageband that was supposed to be influenced by The Beatles. The music created was amazing. Other classes worked with Mrs Irigoyen (Sean's Mum) to create origami, Van Gogh portraits and abstract inspired murals.

There has been lots of singing around school. We can't tell you why yet, but you will find out soon enough.

Several classes started to work on Flower Power headbands and John Lennon glasses. We are certain this has something to do with our Tie-Dye T-Shirts we have already made!

There is a competition to see which class can dance best to Twist and Shout. The office ladies will be dropping in to classes playing Twist and Shout. When they do we all have to stop and dance!

It's only the end of day one and already its been a whole load of fun. I wonder what else will be coming for the rest of the week.
